Amelia has served for nineteen years in various healthcare financial management positions at Pitt County Memorial Hospital/University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina in Greenville, including administrator of cost accounting and accounts review, administrator of patient financial services, and reimbursement. Prior to that, she worked at WakeMed in Raleigh as an assistant controller and internal auditor. She has a B.S. in business administration from Meredith College and has held leadership positions at both the national and state level within the Healthcare Financial Management Association, including president of the N.C. Chapter and a three-year term on the national HFMA board of directors. |
