Hugh H. Tilson, Jr. Senior Vice President 919/677-4229 htilson@ncha.orgHugh joined NCHA's staff in 1996 as director of legal and regulatory affairs. In 1998, he was named director of state relations and associate general counsel. He serves as associate general counsel and is responsible for advocacy and representation for all hospital and healthcare-related issues before the N.C. General Assembly and U.S. Congress. He also is the author of Legislative News which comes out weekly during legislative session. Prior to joining NCHA, he was an associate attorney at a law firm in Washington D.C. where he represented managed care clients, including HMOs, managed pharmacy organizations and pharmaceutical manufacturers before Congress and federal administrative agencies. Mr. Tilson received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a master's in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health. |
