Nancy Schanz, Director of The Quality Center Patient Safety Organization (PSO), presented a poster, “Second Victim Support Programs and PSOs,” at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s annual meeting this month. The Quality Center PSO also received recognition by AHRQ for the Emergency Department Pain Management Guidelines it developed for NC hospitals.
NCHA will participate in the National Readmission Prevention Collaborative’s “C-Suite Invitational Charlotte: Transformational Healthcare Executive Health Education & Innovation Forum” on June 12 in Charlotte. Karen Southard, NCHA Vice President of Quality & Clinical Performance Improvement, will be sharing information on the statewide Pneumonia Knockout Initiative and Trish Vandersea, NCHA Program Director of Quality & Clinical Performance Improvement, will discuss the work of the NC Alliance for Effective Care Transitions (NC ACT). Atrium Health, Novant Health and PatientPing are also part of the program.
