HHS proposed delay for 340B ceiling price regulation

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is proposing to delay the effective date of the 340B Drug Pricing Program Ceiling Price and Manufacturer Civil Monetary Penalties final rule for the fifth time. HHS said that it had significant questions of fact, law and policy about the regulation, and the delay would give it more time to explore those concerns. Comments on the proposed delay are due on May 25. More details are in today’s CEO/CFO Memo. The memo also includes updates from Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC and Palmetto GBA.
