Hospitals Can Preview Reports Related to Pneumonia Readmission Measure

CMS has released confidential hospital-specific reports for hospitals to review their performance using two disparity methods that assess hospital performance for patients with social risk factors in the pneumonia readmission measure. The reports contain results using data from the fiscal year 2019 measurement period (July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017). The confidential preview period goes until Sept. 24. CMS will host a national provider call on Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. to review the disparity methods and answer questions from hospitals. The agency said it plans to release additional educational resources for hospitals during the preview period. Hospitals can access more information at https://www.qualitynet.org/.
