A number of hospitals are without inbound or outbound phone service this morning due to damage from Hurricane Florence. We will update information below as it is available. If you have a medical emergency, please call 911.
- New Hanover Regional Medical Center (Wilmington) – A phone system outage in the area is preventing inbound calls to NHRMC. A special temporary line which can handle a limited call volume can be used by family members to check on patients at (910) 343-3187. This number will remain active until the normal phone system service is restored. Please visit https://www.nhrmc.org/nhrmc-phone-outage-and-communication- for frequently asked questions and alternative communication options.
- FirstHealth (Pinehurst) – FirstHealth locations in Moore County (to include Moore Regional Hospital) are experiencing landline phone difficulties. There are currently no outgoing or incoming phone services available throughout the hospital. The substation for the phone company is without power. Once power is restored, we expect the phone system to be working properly. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- Onslow Memorial Hospital (Jacksonvile) – Reports phone service outage.
