  • Atrium Health – Atrium Health is waiving the regular fee for Virtual Visits completed in North Carolina and South Carolina, starting September 13. Patients will need to use the coupon code FLORENCE to receive this discount. To register, visit AtriumHealth.org/VirtualVisit.
  • Cone Health – Due to the large number of people who are unable to return home, Cone Health is extending its free virtual visits through 8 am Wednesday, Sept. 19. Go to https://virtualvisits.conehealth.comor download the Cone Health Virtual Visit app from the App Store or Google Play to obtain a visit. Once you register, use the coupon code “CONEFLORENCERELIEF” (all caps) to avoid the usual $49 charge.
  • UNC HealthCare – Due to the extended nature of Hurricane Florence, UNC Health has extended its offer of FREE access to its virtual care service, UNC Urgent Care 24/7 to Sunday, Sept. 23 at 11:59 pm. To register and create a UNC Urgent Care 24/7 account, visit uncurgentcare247.com or visit the Apple App and Google Play stores to download the app to a smartphone or tablet.  Patients should use the offer code UNCFLORENCE2018 from the website or app.   Find out more here.
  • Vidant Health – To connect patients who have non-emergency conditions to a physician via phone or video, Vidant is extending its offer of a free virtual care visit via VidantNow. Typically offered for $49 a visit, patients can use VidantNow for treatment of non-emergency conditions—like sore throat, fever, nausea, earaches and UTIs—for free until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23. In response to Hurricane Florence, the following health systems are offering free access to online health consultation during the weekend for families and individuals. Adults and children suffering from minor injuries and illnesses such as cold and flu, pinkeye, or urinary tract infections for females, can choose a video visit, which will allow them to speak with a medical provider from the comfort and safety of their home – for free via phone, tablet and computer.  You do not have to be a regular patient to utilize the services.
