HHS Awards $293 Million to Help Expand Primary Healthcare Workforce

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration today announced $293 million in awards to expand the primary health care workforce for clinicians and students through the National Health Service Corps and Nurse Corps programs. The NHSC and Nurse Corps programs provide scholarships and loan repayment to health care providers in exchange for working in areas of the U.S. with limited access to care.
