Almost 1.2 million people selected a 2019 health plan through HealthCare.gov Nov. 1-10, including more than 804,000 last week, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reported in its recent enrollment snapshot. More than three-quarters of those selecting plans were renewing coverage and the rest were new consumers. Thirty-nine states, including North Carolina, are using HealthCare.gov for 2019 open enrollment, which runs through Dec. 15. CMS plans to update the estimates weekly during the open enrollment period. North Carolinians can find local enrollment help here. Go to Healthcare.gov to also see what help is available in your area. To help educate health insurance shoppers, NCHA has developed an open enrollment information page.
