Novant Health recently named Kirsten Royster president and chief operating officer of Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center. Royster will retain her role as patient experience officer, leading Novant Health’s efforts on patient experience across the not-for-profit health system. She most recently served as president and chief operating officer of Novant Health Medical Park Hospital in Winston-Salem and led the health system’s ob-gyn service line. Royster replaces former president and chief operating officer Chad Setliff, who was recently named president and chief operating officer of Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

UNC Lenoir Health Care’s Board of Directors has named James D. Dennard, Jr. as the organization’s new president and chief executive officer. Dennard has served as Administrator for Gwinnett Medical Center for the last 10 years. A national CEO search began in July following the retirement of former president and CEO, Gary Black, FACHE. Dennard starts in his new position in early March.
