CDC Announces Funding to Support Maternal Mortality Review Committees

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accepting applications through May 8 for $43.5 million in grants to support agencies and organizations that coordinate and manage maternal mortality review committees. The federal Preventing Maternal Deaths Act of 2018 provided funding for states and other entities to develop the committees to better understand maternal complications and identify solutions. CDC will work with the grant recipients to analyze data and share findings with stakeholders to inform policy and prevention strategies to reduce maternal mortality.
