Washington County Hospital in Plymouth has reopened under new management. Former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Thomas Waldrep Jr. has a role as supervisor and has been involved since Feb. 22. The lawyer and former judge is responsible for maximizing the value of the hospital, hiring employees and management.
Preston Hammock has been named interim president of The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Vicki Moran has been named interim president of Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. These moves are effective May 17 and come in the wake of Moses Cone Hospital President Mickey Foster leaving Cone Health on that day. Foster has been named CEO of First Health of the Carolinas in Pinehurst. Read more here.
