CARY, NC – The North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA) has been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Healthcare nationwide. NCHA was ranked number 46 in the Supplier/Vendor category. The complete list of 150 winners in two categories, Supplier/Vendor and Provider/Insurer, is available at ModernHealthcare.com/bestplaceslist.
NCHA is a statewide membership association representing more than 130 hospitals, health systems, physician groups and other healthcare organizations. The NCHA works with its members to improve the health of North Carolina communities by advocating for sound public policies and collaborative partnerships and by providing education, policy, advocacy and other services to expand access to high-quality, efficient, affordable and integrated healthcare for all North Carolinians. The association also has a 501c3 Foundation, The North Carolina Healthcare Foundation and a subsidiary called NCHA Strategic Partners which provides cost-effective solutions to health systems and hospitals for staffing and supply chain resources, among other needs.
“We are proud to receive this honor and to be the only healthcare association on the list,” NCHA President & CEO Steve Lawler said. “Everyone at NCHA is committed to supporting our members as they work to improve care for their patients and their communities. As an employer, we strive to create an environment where employees can excel in their own development and also see clearly how their work advances a vision of a North Carolina where high-quality healthcare is equitable and accessible for all,” he added.
Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.
“It has been an especially trying year for the world, and healthcare in particular, as COVID-19 ravages our communities and workplaces,” said Aurora Aguilar, Modern Healthcare’s editor. “But the organizations recognized on this year’s list rose to the top and continued to be a source of strength for their teammates. The loyalty and trust between employers and their workers is being put to the test now more than ever. We congratulate the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for continuing to serve their workforce and communities during such an unprecedented time.”
