Advocating for Healthcare

The work being done in Raleigh and Washington by NCHA Advocacy & Policy team members is built on the good works of our state’s healthcare providers and the solid relationships they have built within the communities they serve.

The NCHA team helps develop and enhance relationships between healthcare leaders, community members, and elected officials by encouraging communication and personal participation in our system of government. Keeping Members Informed NCHA’s goal is to keep members informed about key healthcare-related issues that are put before our leaders in the N.C. General Assembly and the U.S. Congress. We want to make it easy for our members to shape the debate by providing tools that will help them express their concerns.

Healthcare facilities are integral components of a strong, healthy community. Not only are many healthcare facilities the leading employers in their communities, but they care for everyone, regardless of ability to pay. NCHA helps promote the economic impact of our state’s healthcare infrastructure, as well as the work being done every day as hospitals and health systems take a greater role in creating wellness outside the hospital walls.

The personal interactions between NCHA members and government officials at both the state and federal levels can make a real difference. We invite you to be a part of sharing the great work of North Carolina’s hospitals and healthcare systems. By getting involved, you will help North Carolina’s healthcare facilities continue to serve and strengthen their communities and our nation.
