In 1916, James Barber of Pinehurst designed Thistle Dhu, the first miniature golf course. Word has it that after having seen his finished course, Barber declared to his designer, ‘This’ll do!’ An American icon was born.

Raffle tickets for experiences across the state of North Carolina will be sold throughout Summer Meeting at the Registration Table up to and including at the Benefit for Better Health. The raffle winners will be announced at the Benefit at 7:30pm. You must be present at the Benefit to claim your raffle package. Raffle tickets are $20 a ticket, 6 tickets for $100. The raffle winners will be drawn at 7:30pm, you must be present to win.

1. Pinehurst Resort Sandhills Golfing/Spa Package

This package includes deluxe accommodations at Pinehurst Resort for two people for three days + two nights, delicious breakfast included daily. Treat yourself to one round of golf or one fifty-minute spa therapy for two people.

2. Westin Hotel Queen City Weekender

The Queen City Weekender package includes a two-night weekend stay + breakfast for two at The Westin Hotel in Charlotte. Enjoy an adventure at the White-Water Center while you’re there and take home a signed Carolina Panthers football.

This package includes a custom order of Adirondack Chairs from Carobell, Inc. Carobell is a community service provider dedicated to providing self-directed supports for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities, empowering them to reach their fullest potential.

There is NO EXTRA COST to attend this event for those registered for summer meeting.

The North Carolina Healthcare Foundation (NCHF) is the 501(c)3 affiliate of the North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA), with a distinct mission to “foster and accelerate the collective impact of hospitals, health systems and community partners to improve the health of North Carolinians.” In recent years, the Foundation has served as a pathway for NCHA to lead efforts addressing behavioral health needs, rural health care improvements, the opioid epidemic, and access to health care.
