Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 (MMA)

A federal law that provided a prescription drug benefit under the Medicare program. MMA made various other adjustments to the Medicare and Medicaid programs affecting providers, including payment and regulatory improvements for hospitals. Also known as the Medicare Prescription Drug Bill.
