Medicare Part D

The part of the Medicare program that covers prescription drug coverage. Since 2006, beneficiaries have had access to partial prescription drug coverage paid mainly through state
payments, premiums and general revenue. Some assistance for low-income beneficiaries is available for premiums and co-pays.
