Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC)

A non-partisan congressional advisory body charged with providing policy advice and technical assistance concerning the Medicare program and other aspects of the health system. It conducts independent research, analyzes legislation, and makes recommendations to U.S. Congress. The Physician Payment Review Commission (PPRC) has been merged with the Prospective Payment Assessment Commission (ProPAC) to create MedPAC. www.medpac.gov
