Membership Meetings

As healthcare changes, so do NCHA members’ needs for education. NCHA offers two general membership meetings each year, featuring national experts on health care issues, policy updates from NCHA staff, and networking opportunities for our members. Hospital and health system trustees are encouraged to attend general membership meetings. In addition, NCHA offers regular opportunities for trustees to learn and network with their peers.

July 17-19, 2019 | Pinehurst Resort | Pinehurst, NC

July 18-20, 2018 | Grove Park Inn | Asheville, NC

A highlight of this year’s Summer Meeting will be the celebration of NCHA’s 100th anniversary! Our summer meeting programming features educational sessions featuring national speakers, the annual NCHA business meeting, and is targeted for member hospital and health system chief executives and senior leaders. Our annual trade show provides an opportunity for networking with vendors and other NCHA members. We welcome guests and family members as well.

This year’s topics of interest include the unveiling of NCHA’s new brand, the behavioral health crisis and workforce issues. Our featured speaker will be former Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy (D-RI), a lifelong mental health advocate who served as a Commissioner on the President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis. He is the founder of The Kennedy Forum, a convening think tank focused on mental health and addiction policy, and co-founder of One Mind, a global leader in open science collaboration for brain research.
