2026 NCHF Maternity Care Quality Forum

On April 1, 2026, the North Carolina Healthcare Foundation will be hosting an in-person one-day maternal health patient safety and quality forum for NCHA members in Winston Salem, NC.

The agenda will feature solution-oriented content focused on improving care continuity, elevating patient-family voice, applying evidence-based guidelines across care settings, and strengthening North Carolina’s maternal health workforce. Registration will open early next year.

Led by the North Carolina Healthcare Foundation (NCHF), the Maternal Health Action Network (MHAN) is a collaborative space for North Carolina Healthcare Association members to explore evidence-based strategies and interventions that enhance maternity care access across North Carolina.

In alignment with NCHF’s aim to remove structural and financial barriers to care and improve the overall health and well-being of North Carolinians, the MHAN focuses on assessing and addressing non-medical drivers of health influencing gaps in maternal health outcomes across our state. The Community will have a particular focus on a whole-person approach to maternity care, supporting members in their work to address the unique needs of birthing people and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

MHAN is open to all NCHA members and features webinars and networking calls occurring once every two months through June 2026. Directly informed by member needs, the Network will focus on relevant topics such as regulatory compliance, communication and engagement, integrating patient-family voice to enhance maternal health outcomes, and implementation of evidence-based performance improvement strategies for improving access to maternity care.
