Director, Membership Events

The North Carolina Healthcare Association is seeking a full-time Director, Membership Events.

NCHA Education Services is a Member Services Department that provides conferences, event and webinar offerings for member hospitals and health systems.

This role oversees NCHA events to ensure that programming for membership conferences, meetings, webinars, and offerings bring value to the membership and accomplish association strategic objectives.

This role oversees the awards process and accompanying committee, which grants awards to healthcare professionals and teams demonstrating outstanding and innovative achievements in North Carolina. This role also leads a speaker and content advisory group of members and staff to guide membership meetings and ensure content is timely, relevant, and exciting.

This role manages and supervises various activities and employees within this department, which includes aligning staff talents with strategy and structure, delegating and managing assignments, coaching regularly for successful performance, providing performance feedback, and recruiting and training new hires.

Director, State Government Relations

The North Carolina Healthcare Association is seeking a full-time Director, State Government Relations. The Director of State Government Relations will assist with advocacy efforts before the North Carolina legislature; monitor legislative and regulatory developments and work with team members and NCHA members to identify, respond to, and address issues of importance or concern to the association.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Reporting to the NCHA Board of Trustees, the President & CEO serves as the chief executive officer of the association, responsible for the effective conduct of its affairs, as well as those of its related organizations (North Carolina Healthcare Enterprises, North Carolina Healthcare Foundation, and Political Action Committee). The President & CEO recommends and leads the organization’s formulation of the mission, goals, objectives, and related policies of the association and its related organizations, and will plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and evaluate their activities, programs, services, and team members. This leader works with the board to ensure plans, goals, and resources align to further the aspirations of the field and meet the needs organization’s membership. 

The President & CEO supports and works closely with executives and team members in accomplishing the objectives of the association and related organizations. He/She has regular contact with the board of trustees and other membership groups, as well as with representatives of governmental bodies, affiliated organizations, public interests, and other state, regional, and national organizations.

Vice President, Communications and Public Relations

The North Carolina Healthcare Association is seeking a full-time Vice President, Communications and Public Relations who is responsible for planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of communications, media relations, and digital strategies for the NCHA enterprise and on behalf of membership and the field. Works directly with the CEO and with the leadership team to ensure that all marketing and communications initiatives are aligned and support strategic goals of enterprise. Works to build and implement integrated plans and campaigns to increase awareness of NCHA priority issues across key stakeholder audiences. Directs the creation of content for the public website and social media and oversees development and production of member resources and communications, also contributing communications counsel and production support to member events such as annual meetings. Serves as spokesperson and primary point of contact for media relations on behalf of the organization.
