North Carolina Healthcare Foundation Launches Social Impact Tools to Strengthen Community-Led Solutions
Raleigh, NC — The North Carolina Healthcare Foundation (NCHF) announced the launch of two innovative resources — the Social Impact Playbook and the Social Impact Hub— designed to help communities across North Carolina address barriers to health through collaborative, community-based solutions.
The Social Impact Playbook is a practical guide offering tools, frameworks, and real-world examples to help leaders build infrastructure, pilot initiatives, and sustain long-term change. It includes case studies such as Robeson County’s community-driven transportation solutions, which continue to improve access to care. In its first year, a Robeson County mobile clinic completed more than 700 community visits, delivering essential health services guided by strategies featured in the Playbook. Local organizations are now using these approaches to strengthen health outcomes while addressing persistent transportation challenges.
Complementing the Playbook, the Social Impact Hub is an interactive online space designed to foster connection, learning, and collaboration. Features include:
- Mini-Grantee spotlights showcasing pilot projects
- Peer-to-Peer forums for shared problem-solving
- Digital tools to support planning and implementation
- Resource libraries for deeper learning
“These tools empower communities to design and sustain solutions that truly work for them,” said Jamie Wildgoose, Program Manager of the Social Impact Initiative. “We’re helping local leaders turn ideas into real, lasting impact.”
Both the Social Impact Playbook and Social Impact Hub are available here.
