Raleigh, NC – The North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA) announced Brian Floyd, MBA, RN, President and Chief Operating Officer, ECU Health Medical Center, as chair of its 2026-2027 Board of Trustees. He has been a trustee since 2023 and is currently serving a second three-year term on the board. The board oversees NCHA’s strategic plan and operations in line with the association’s mission to improve the health of North Carolina communities by advocating for sound public policy and collaborative partnerships.
Mr. Floyd began his career as a nurse in the post-op cardiac surgery unit at ECU Health Medical Center and brings nearly 30 years of experience in health care, leadership and operations. He also serves on national and state health care boards including the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board, governor’s appointment to the State Health Coordinating Council and the Pitt Community College Board.
