
NCHF Social Impact Program Awards $300,000 to Support Health and Economic Development in Robeson County
Raleigh, NC – August 1, 2025 — The North Carolina Healthcare Foundation (NCHF) is proud to announce the 2025 recipients of the Social Impact Mini-Grants in Robeson County. A total of $300,000 in funding has been awarded this year, made possible through the generous support of the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust.
Strengthening the long-term health and vitality of North Carolina’s rural communities is a key priority for NCHF. Through its Social Impact Program, NCHF supports community-driven, collaborative solutions that address the root causes of health disparities and promote sustainable economic development.
The NCHF 2025 Social Impact Mini Grant Awardees include:
- LifeBridge Integrated Services for its Providing Key Linages for Transportation and Employment Services in Robeson County program.
- PAWSS, Inc. for its Rides for Robeson program.
- Robeson County Church and Community Center for its Mobile Assistance Unit program.
- Robeson Health Care Corporation for its RHCC Mobile Unit program.
- Robeson County SEATS for its SEATS Mobility Development program.
- Scotland Memorial Foundation, Inc. for its Scotland@Home: Community Health Transportation program.
- Southern Carolina Housing for its “Walking in Their Shoes” Addressing Transportation Issues in Robeson County Through Policy Awareness program.
- UNC Health Southeastern for its Expanding Access to Care with Uber Health program.
- The University of North Carolina at Pembroke for its UNCP Braves Health and Behavioral Health Workforce Transportation program.
These projects reflect a shared commitment to improving access to care, enhancing mobility, and investing in the long-term well-being of the Robeson County community.
