Advancing Access: Housing as a Driver of Health
Hospital members and community partners consistently identify stable, affordable housing as essential to improving health outcomes. This initiative addresses housing as a critical barrier to healthcare access and a key social driver of health. Through a series of statewide convenings held throughout the year, NCHF is engaging hospitals, community leaders, policymakers, and other partners in structured dialogue on access to care, centering housing as a critical theme. These convenings provide a platform to share perspectives, identify challenges, and develop actionable strategies that strengthen community health and well-being. At the end of 2026, NCHF will synthesize insights into a comprehensive report capturing lessons learned, promising practices, and opportunities for future collaboration that will serve as both a guide for action and a catalyst for continued investment in housing as a driver of health.
